They have to pay the bills and unfortunately too many people want to see stuff other than actual historical programs. I've always called it the MTV Syndrome...you know, from when MTV actually was about music. It's a shame but the purists seem to have their head in a book rather than watching television programs. And those that do get to help carve the direction they take.
